Day 1.Arrival Yangon
Upon arrival in Yangon, your ESS guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, is a relatively quiet and charming city. It is the great starting point of the Myanmar Holiday. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes Yangon one of the most fascinating and religious landmarks.
Lunch at local restaurant.
This afternoon, your tour begins with around the city, walking by graceful colonial buildings and observing the lifestyle of the local people. Proceed Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda to visit the 70m long reclining Buddha. At the end today, we reach Myanmar’s holiest monument, the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda which is one of the wonders of the world.
Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon – Mandalay
Upon arrival in Mandalay ESS guide and car will pick you up and you will begin your sightseeing tour of Mandalay with a visit to Mahamuni Pagoda. This pagoda is home to one of the country’s most revered Buddha images which, over the years, has been covered with gold leaf giving it an almost ‘lumpy’ texture. Mandalay is well known for its skilled craftsmen and as you tour traditional workshops, you will learn more about the city’s cottage industries. Observe the production of wood carvings and gold-leaf where the techniques remained unchanged from those used centuries ago to craft items for the Royal Court.
After lunch, you’ll visit Golden Palace Monastery. Then, visit to Khuthodaw Pagoda, home to “the world largest book”, a collection of more than 700 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings.
Sunset at Mandalay Hill. Mandalay Hill for great views of the surrounding countryside, Ayeyarwaddy River and city center.
Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 3: Mandalay – Sagaing – Monywa
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Monywa by private coach. On the way, visit to Sagaing over crossing the Ayeyarwaddy River with Bridge. Upon arrival, sightseeing to Sagaing Hill which Covered with 600 white-painted pagodas and monasteries. Then visit to Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin and U Min Thone Sae (30 caves).
Then proceed to Monywa. One the way, visit to Kaung Hmu Daw pagoda, the enormous dome shape which was built by King Tharlon in 636 and completed later on 1648. After that, visit to Thanboddhay pagoda and proceed to Monywa and hotel check in and the rest of the day at own leisure.
Option: learn the local people life.
Overnight in Monywa.
Day 4: Monywa –Powintaung – Bagan
After breakfast at hotel, visit to Mt Po Win (sandstone cave system in the Po Win Hills), peaceful and interesting place. Then, drive to Pakokku by car and proceed to Bagan by boat on the Ayeyarwaddy river. Arrival Bagan, hotel check in and take a rest as your own.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Bagan.
Day 5: Bagan
Breakfast at Hotel. Full day sightseeing to Bagan. Bagan is ancient city that was the capital of the first Burmese empire.
Tour begins with Anandar Temple which is one of the most revered temple in Bagan.
Then, we will visit to Myinkaba village and Gubyaukgyi Temple which is noted for its beautiful mural paintings on its inner walls. Afterwards, will go to Manuha Temple.
Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
Then, visit to Thatbyinyu Temple, Dhammayangyi Temple, etc.
After lunch, learn about local people and take a relaxing horsecart ride through the temple.
Sunset at Shwe San Daw Pagoda.
Dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Bagan.
Day 6: Bagan – Yangon – Depart from Yangon
After Breakfast at Hotel and transfer to airport and leave to Yangon.
Arrival Yangon, visit to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) market, a shopping center of Yangon. Lunch at local restaurant. After that, transfer to Yangon International airport and flight back to your country.
